Provide regulatory support and guidance to CDO and key business partners for our biocide and detergent product submissions. Development of regulatory strategies and documentation for assigned projects with a commercial mind set. Working with the Regulatory Senior Manager and Manager, drive regulatory expertise and understanding at feasibility and throughout the project. Collaborate with the entire project team and LRA/IMEX colleagues to define development plans, timings and critical regulatory parameters.
For each assigned project, responsible for the creation and delivery of the regulatory components of the product core dossier/technical file. Working with the dossier/technical file authors, ensure consistency and a ‘right first time’ approach.
Assist the Manager/Senior Manager to identify regulatory possibilities to shape future policy, gather, disseminate & assess regulatory & regulatory competitive intelligence for assigned brands.
You will support the manager and will provide the appropriate subject matter expert (SME) knowledge within assigned projects. You’ll work to support an integrated approach to regulatory planning across innovation and will provide SME knowledge for your assigned projects. You will ensure that all regulatory dossier/technical file activities are completed on time and according to the best process, in a consistent manner across projects.
Wide stakeholder interactions including Category R&D, M&E, Local Regulatory, IMEX, Supply and Marketing
Provide support to other members of the GRA team when required.
The Global Regulatory Senior Associate – Surface Hygiene will have the following responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with Manager/Senior Manager to define and implement Global regulatory strategies related to biocide and detergent submissions (EPA, BPR, ECHA, CLP, GHS)
Work collaboratively within the R&D community to define global Regulatory biocide dossiers and technical documentation.
If required, attend meetings with regulatory or other external bodies to better define regulatory strategy/submission plans
Ensure high quality and accuracy of technical file/dossiers in line with agreed requirements. Highlight and address any potential issues, working with relevant functions to ensure optimum delivery.
Work in partnership with the local regulatory teams to identify and be aware of key requirements related to biocides, detergents, general chemicals. Ensure that they are addressed in the regulatory strategy to deliver a ‘right first time’ approach to new product development.
Support key innovation initiatives as required and assigned by manager.
Responsible for Regulatory NPD requirements & Global dossier/technical file creation in line with biocide and detergent project strategy and timelines.
Assist in monitoring, collecting, interpreting and sharing with business partners, regulatory issues and trends that will impact RB biodcide and detergent products, policies and procedures. Assist in the development of strategies and plans of action to address them.
Assist in the preparation of responses to address significant safety, regulatory and PR issues
Support internal investigations into potential non-compliance of marketed products
Devise, and deliver to business partners, training materials, preparing the business for the present and future regulatory environment
Supports work required to refine Regulatory processes and procedures to optimise accuracy and efficiency, thus enabling speed to market.
Educated to Bachelor’s degree level in a scientific field with minimum experience of 5-7 years’ experience in Regulatory or Master’s degree level in a scientific field with minimum experience of 3-5 years’ experience in Regulatory.
Experience and knowledge of NPD and dossier/technical file creation and global registration requirements for surface cleaning and disinfectant products (e.g. BPR, EPA, ECHA, GHS).
Experience of working in a Global FMCG company an advantage
Experience of working in consumer products R&D an advantage
Current knowledge of relevant classifications and regulatory systems impacting the products in the brand.
Knowledge of the Global regulatory environment and how it impacts regulatory dossier development and country registration, most notably under US-EPA and EU-BPR.
Ability to communicate regulatory requirements to non-regulators
Understanding of global product development practice, regulations and guidelines.
Familiarity with factors likely to influence the regulatory environment, including new and emerging guidelines relevant to dossier delivery.
High level of accuracy in reviewing and authoring documentation
Ability to consistently deliver to time, cost and quality standards in a high pressure environment
Knowledge of submission processes and product life cycle management activities for various consumer product categories.
Ability to identify issues and influence to reach agreeable solutions
