Planned Parenthood of New York City is seeking a Clinical Risk Director to join our organization. The Clinical Risk Director position will be based at our Administrative offices, located at 26 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012.
What the Director, Clinical Risk Does:
Responsible for promoting the development and implementation of PPNYC’s Risk Quality Management program.
Collaborate with clinical, quality, research and evaluation and other staff across PPNYC to detect, prevent, measure, investigate, report and continuously manage risk-related issues from a clinical perspective.
Proactively evaluate areas of clinical risk based on internal assessment and benchmarking, and implement strategies and policies that promote patient safety and organizational compliance.
Develop tools and conduct regular RQM audits (including chart and infection control audits) to identify clinical risk and participate in recommendations for mitigation.
Monitor external audits, including coding and pharmacy audits.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure achieving/exceeding regulatory and professional standards.
Collaborate with management teams to ensure awareness of serious incidents, adverse events, near misses/good catches.

We are seeking candidates with the following:
License: Minimum of RN.
5+ years’ experience in clinical quality management, performance improvement, or risk quality management.
Knowledge and experience in the NY healthcare regulatory landscape.
Must have strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Master’s Degree in health care or health care administration or related field.
ALL POSITIONS AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD REQUIRE:
Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
