To manage the NBEG Regulatory team to meet business objectives regarding pre-acquisition, integration, legacy, new product and market launches, group resources and planning for the future.
Management of NBEG Regulatory Team to Meet Corporate Objectives (30%)
Manage regulatory team to meet business objectives regarding newly acquired brands existing and new product and market launches, department resources and move forward integration plan
Supervise, train and coach junior staff. Manage day-to-day priorities and complete annual performance reviews.
Regulatory & Product Integrity: 70%
Supports ED in pre-acquisition assessment and review in order to provide corporate compliance overview.
Responsible for liaising with other Product Integrity Groups, R&D and TPMs to obtain technical data pertinent to the brands and maintains tracking sheets
Reviews all new formulations for global compliance
Ensures changes/corrections to formulations are made according to formula regulatory review
Monitors reformulations and liaises with brands to ensure implementation and re-registration where and when applicable
Prepares ILNs and initiates FG SDSs for new and existing formulas for brands
Uses independent judgment when reviewing technical information based on established regulatory, safety and corporate practices.
Collects and inputs information into appropriate reports, charts, spread sheets and provides weekly reviews for management
Prepares all required foreign regulatory product registration documents to support desired market growth.
Advises and assists New Brands Empowerment Group (NBEG) and new brand teams in meeting regulatory policies, practices and procedures.
Reviews new product formulations for ingredient acceptability and works with Packaging Operations on packaging and environmental compliance.
Performs other job requirements as specified by Line Manager
Maintains understanding of cosmetic and Over The Counter (OTC) drug regulations, relating to ingredients and finished product
Gains working knowledge of safety, claims support as conducted by ELC
Minimum Bachelor of Science with focus on biology, chemistry, biochemistry or toxicology.
5-10 years of relevant experience.
Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent problem solving, organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
Team player, able to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross-functional teams and outside of organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of chemistry and broad cosmetic/drug regulatory experience preferred.
Fully proficient and experienced with Windows Office, Excel and Outlook and computer applications
