The Director of Quality Management oversees and administers Oregon State Hospital's (OSH) enterprise quality management (QM) department. As the QM director, you are responsible for providing leadership direction, continuity and coordination of the performance improvement, standards and compliance, risk management and data and analysis functions. This position works through a team of subordinate supervisors to ensure robust quality management and compliance programs for OSH.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Four years of management experience in a public or private organization which included responsibility for each of the following: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans, c) program evaluation, and d) budget preparation.
Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations.
A bachelors degree in: business administration, management, public administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Experience establishing vision, strategy, setting long-range and medium range administrative direction, and establishing cross agency policies, goals and functional requirements.
Experience with Joint Commission and CMS rules and regulations governing hospital facilities.
Experience establishing clinical, operational, and financial metrics.
Experience in negotiation and facilitation.
Experience with Lean performance management methodology.

About Oregon State Hospital
Oregon State Hospital (OSH) provides patient-centered, psychiatric treatment for adults from throughout the state who need hospital-level care. The hospital's primary goal is to help people recover from their illness and return to the community. Services include psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as community outreach and peer support.
With two campuses, one in Salem and one in Junction City, Oregon State Hospital serves more than 1,500 people per year and employs more than 2,000 staff. Oregon State Hospital operates under the direction of the Oregon Health Authority. The superintendent is Dolly Matteucci. The Salem campus has the capacity to serve up to 554 people at a time, and the Junction Campus can serve up to 96.
