Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Quality Outcomes Specialist. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-430pm with flexibility required to manage needs outside of normal business hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES: A statewide, exempt position with responsibility for the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program and all related quality initiatives, including practices, performance, and processes related to customer satisfaction and conformance with industry standards, regulation, and scrutiny, The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation requirements, and The National Hospice and Palliative Care Standards of Practice. Serves as the Infection Preventionist and Privacy Official.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in health administration, health science, or nursing; Master’s degree in health care field preferred. Minimum five years of experience in health care setting, including three years of management/ quality improvement (QI) experience performing quality assurance oversight activities. Knowledge of QAPI philosophy, models, processes, and tools and their use in a healthcare setting. Knowledge and experience with hospice-specific quality initiatives preferred. Demonstrated experience in quality outcomes measurement and analysis. Experience and familiarity with TJC accreditation requirements and processes. Proficient in MSOffice Suite. Must have ability to engage, lead, and effectively interact with all employee levels across all departments. Strong organization and planning skills.
