Position Summary:
The Quality and PI Program Manager is responsible to develop and implement the Quality and Performance Improvement Program for the assigned services and location. This includes partnering to develop, implement and organize the annual and multi-year plan to assure quality, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and meeting the specific standards for the setting(s) of care. QPM partners to implement tools and techniques that drive the use of ID-PDSA, accepted performance improvement methods and High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles and practices. Role models principles, practices and methods. Develops partnerships with operational partners This includes conducting projects, policies and procedures in accordance with Washington States quality improvement and medical malpractice prevention program, applicable regulations, Federal Laws and The Joint Commission requirements. This includes timely escalation of high risk occurrences to assigned Director. The QPM works as part of a team and is assigned to a location(s), specialties, or services based on department needs. The percentage of time spent in assessment, review, PI, reporting, etc. will be determined by the specific needs of the assigned area.
Minimum Requirements:
Five (5) years of experience in a professional or technical role/function in a healthcare or related setting as applicable to specialty
Three (3) years of experience in a quality, performance improvement or patient safety role Experience in data use, analysis and reporting
Previous experience with computerized information systems (email, MS Office including Excel, Epic, healthcare data and benchmarking systems, etc.) required
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Registered Nurse in Washington State or licensure related to field of clinical expertise
Bachelors degree in health care field required
Masters degree in health care field preferred
Quality or patient safety certification, such as CPHQ or CPPS, preferred
