AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Director of Quality Improvement to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care by developing and leading quality programs and initiatives for assisted living. The position communicates the value of AHCA/NCAL programs and participation to members and stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develops a variety of tools, resources, and programs, to consistently improve the quality of care and services delivered to assisted living residents nationwide.
• Assists the Quality Award Department to increase assisted living participation in programs. Works with LTC Trend Tracker Team as lead for data collection in assisted living.
• Identifies and develops performance measures to demonstrate quality in assisted living.
• Leads innovative quality improvement initiatives in assisted living.
• Routinely provides presentations and other communications to the membership, national organizations, and policy officials on assisted living quality.
• Facilitates and manages program partnerships with a wide variety of other national organizations (e.g., AMDA, American Assisted Living Nurses Association) including but not limited to providing comments on materials, position papers, etc.
• Develops strong working relationships with assisted living corporation executives responsible for assisted living quality development.
• Some travel required.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• Undergraduate degree in related field required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in quality improvement in long term care required.
• Previous experience in management, health care administration, nursing, health policy, public health, assisted living operations or health-related discipline with statistics and survey coursework a plus.
• Long term care experience preferred.
