Because, in this vital role, you'll need to instruct and inspire staff on new and improved methods, key policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements. You'll use your vision of our hospital's mission to develop ways to improve processes and measurements, etc. Your in-depth industry knowledge will help ensure our hospital is compliant with regulatory governing bodies to sustain our quality-of-care tradition to improve patient experience, operational processes, and better patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
We seek a results-driven professional with exceptional communication, analytical and investigative skills to develop, implement and evaluate the Nursing department's overall quality improvement and regulatory compliance program. You’ll be accountable to improve process efficiencies, assess regulatory compliance and improve overall patient safety and clinical quality that will enhance life for our hospital and multicultural community.
As part of the Nursing Quality team, identify areas for improvement, and assist in the design and ongoing measurement of performance indicators and outcomes
Develop and facilitate educational and training programs and tools relating to compliance issues, safety, and quality improvement and continuous regulatory readiness
In conjunction with other regulatory agencies, coordinate tracer rounds to assess compliance with requirements/standards and help prioritize and remediate to improve performance
Investigate incident reports, patient complaints/grievances, and patient care issues and ensure that all safety and quality compliance issues are addressed and resolved promptly
To qualify, you must possess:
Bachelor’s degree. BSN/MSN, Master’s in Public Health, Business Administration or Science/Art preferred
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare management or education
Healthcare industry experience, specifically in the areas of quality or regulatory management, project management and/or change management highly desirable
Current NYS RN license; CPHQ/Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
Extensive knowledge of data reporting procedures by TJC, IPRO, DOH and NDNQI
