Overview

This position provides ongoing assessment of care, oversees performance improvement projects, and ensures successful clinical project implementation in the acute care environment assigned. Provides positive role modeling and critical thinking skills to facilitate staff development. Proactively supports the quality and continuity of services throughout the healthcare systems. Assists in resolution of systems issues and enforces unit/department policy/procedures and standards of care under the direction of the director. This position will have dedicated and protected hours to the specific programs the individual will oversee such as trauma, pediatrics, code blue, etc.

Qualifications

• Must possess a strong knowledge of healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
• Requires a current RN license in state of practice. Requires BLS certification.
• Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of clinical care management as normally demonstrated through three (3) years of nursing experience. Must demonstrate strong decision-making and critical thinking skills along with the ability to lead change.
• Requires the ability to manage programs and projects. Requires demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and written communication skills. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
