JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the COO - Greater Austin Region Clinics, the Regional Director, Clinic Quality Improvement & Education is responsible for the education and quality standards of the clinical support staff in the medical group. The Medical group includes over 700 providers and 1400 support staff across 50 clinic locations in the Greater Austin metropolitan market. This position has 2 Managers and 5 staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Develops and implements the annual quality plan for the clinics - Reviews and updates the clinical onboarding program - Evaluates and develops education sessions to support clinical staff performance - Develops opportunities and tactics to streamline clinical processes - Implements strategies to support physicians in reaching quality metrics (i.e. mammography screening, diabetic management, low back pain imaging, etc) - Serves as a clinical resource/expert - Develops training programs to support future staffing needs (Phlebotomy, CMA, etc) - Serves as the clinic representative to outside educational institutions - Develops and supports clinical career growth path (MA-CMA-LVN-RN) - Directs the design and implementation of strategies to improve patient safety - Serves as lead nurse representative for the clinics - Serves as the clinic lead for Joint Commission accreditation. - Conducts annual evaluation of quality programs and provides reporting to senior leadership, quality committees, and work groups - Collaborates with physician services, nursing, other allied health professionals, ancillary and support personnel, and operational leadership to promote the implementation of evidence-based quality and patient safety initiatives - Promotes and supports a comprehensive culture of quality throughout the organization and departments
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS - Bachelor's degree in nursing, clinical, healthcare management, or related field preferred. Master's degree preferred. - Clinical expereince in a clinic setting preferred - 3+ years of experience in quality management, clinical improvement, patient safety, or leadership. - Current certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. - Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification - 3 years of experience
