The Director of Quality Management (DQM) manages and coordinates organization wide efforts to ensure that PI and safety programs are developed and managed using data driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. Assures the organization wide initiatives are focused and aligned on improving the quality of care provided that leads to a positive and measurable impact on patient care. Establishes an ongoing PI training program focused on continuous quality improvement efforts.
The Director, Quality Management (DQM) duties include:
Possess in-depth knowledge of functions of all hospital departments and performance improvement requirements as outlined by TJC, the Department of Health for the State of employment and Federal regulatory standards as outlined by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS)
Knowledge and experience in the needs of patient populations served
Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations
Strong organizational and analytical skills; excellent writing and speaking skills
Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.)
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
Licensed as a nurse or a Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare field.
Minimum five (5) years clinical experience in a Psychiatric setting is preferred.
Two (2) years management experience is preferred.
Two (2) years in Performance Improvement in a Psychiatric setting is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current nursing license in good standing for state of employment.
Current certification in Healthcare Quality preferred.
Must maintain current Provider CPR certification and de-escalation certification throughout employment.
Education and/or Experience:
Licensed as a nurse or a Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare field.
